There should be a 30 degree mark on your ruler or your rotary mat to make this easy.- Stack the 4 – 10.5” x 13.5” gray squares alternating right side up and down.
- Using your rotary cutter and ruler cut a 60 degree angle from the top right corner of the stack. Once again there should be a 60 degree mark on your ruler or your rotary mat to make this easy.
- Lay out the remaining strips in your preferred order top to bottom for easy piecing. This picture only shows the color strips but, lay them all out.
- Repeat with remaining strips until you have a completed column.
- Sew the top piece of gray fabric from step 4 to the bottom of the column by placing right sides together along the angled cut and sew.
- Repeat steps 5 through 8 to create remaining three columns
- Lay columns out to create the zig zag design as seen on the final quilt. Sew the columns together matching the seams. Press seams open.
Your quilt top is complete! Baste and quilt as desired.
