Fibre Arts & Design trained at the University and College Level in Canada, Melanie has always been intrigued by colour concepts and how the theories, written for paint and mixing, didn’t always translate to working with fabric. After she began quilting in 2007 Melanie was always asked about her colour choices and how she arrived at them. It was shortly after that she started teaching, and later blogging, the theories she found most useful and the way that they apply to choosing fabric for harmonious quilts. Melanie's home is in Calgary, Canada, where she loves to knit and quilt. Her husband and 3 sons are Melanie's most supportive audience.
