Keeping it Zentresting, Developing Guild Programs & Fun

Page Content:

The guild is much more than just a monthly meeting! In this webinar, we will discuss ideas for programs, from sew-ins to swaps to retreats and much more. Kristen Ballou of the Seattle MQG, will lead you through the challenges of welcoming new members, getting to know everyone, and developing ideas to maximize participation, while maintaining the focus of the guild. Leaders and interested members are welcome to join.

Kristen is the current President of Seattle Modern Quilt Guild and past Vice President of Programming. As a landscape designer by profession, she gets to create all the time. But she's always been a maker who loves modern design (she lives in a mid-century mod house). Since her guild is approaching 150 members, hanging out together is something they strive to do and do often. Kristen thinks programs are the key to the "modern quilting bee" and why being together is so important in the quilting world. She believes good programming is like a good design, making all the individual parts come together to create something fabulous.
