Easy Fabric Dyeing: Create Your Own Solids and Tone on Tone Fabrics

Sue Bleiweiss’s method for dyeing fabric produces a fabric with an unevenly colored surface — not only does it have a unique look, but it's also super easy. In this webinar you’ll learn how to create both solid and tone-on-tone fabrics working with procion dye, Jacquard color magnet and purchased thermofax screens.

Award-winning fiber artist Sue Bleiweiss is the author of The Sketchbook Challenge and Colorful Fabric Collage. She has written numerous articles for Quilting Arts Magazine, appeared on The Quilt Show with Alex Anderson and Ricky Tims, in two episodes of Quilting Arts TV and recorded a Quilting ArtsWorkshop DVD titled Coloring Book Fabric Collage: dyeing, fusing, designing and quilting. Sue’s quilt “Inside Out” won first place in the appliqué category at QuiltCon 2017.

The MQG developed out of the thriving online community of modern quilters and their desire to start meeting in person. The founding guild was formed in Los Angeles in October of 2009.
