Emily Weerts (she/hers) is a community builder and crafter located in Austin, Texas. She is inspired by a long line of talented artists in her family, especially her grandmother who honed her skills while imprisoned in the American Internment Camps during WWII. Emily's quilts tend to be bold like her; look for bright colors, busy patterns, and statements about justice, inclusion, and intersectional feminism. With a background in education, Emily is passionate about teaching and lifelong learning.
