"This is the first in what has become a series of free turned applique quilts. No raw edges, no fusible. In this case I machine appliqued most of the shapes down. Im always looking for inspiration around me and working to communicate my modern world. Ive also been searching to create applique that didn't feel old fashioned. While my hubs was traveling, I let the dishes stack up on a counter, in front of a window. I felt like it was a quilt idea. The background is an interpretation of the side of the neighbors house after the rain. The soap bubble ""balls"" are hand appliqued." hillsboro, Oregon, United States 40" x 43"
