The Washington, D.C. Modern Quilt Guild was started 2010 and has grown to 75 members from the District and three surrounding states. We rotate our meetings across DC, Maryland, and Virginia to accommodate our geographically dispersed membership.

We meet monthly with an emphasis on sew-in meetings where members can socialize, be inspired by one another's work, or just get some serious sewing done without the distractions of home. Each year, our September sew-in is dedicated to charity projects.

We also take advantage of the (free!) cultural activities in the DC area including museum trips to gather inspiration for future quilts, and hand sewing on the National Mall.

Guild Meeting Locations:
We meet in various locations around the DC Metro area, including public libraries in DC and Northern Virginia, and Capital Quilts in Rockville, MD. Please check the schedule on our blog for the next meeting date and location.
