South Sound Modern Quilt Guild draws quilters who live in the general vicinity of Olympia, Washington, though we have members from a wider area because we are so much fun!

We were founded in May 2013 and currently have around 30 members. We love meeting in a quilt store because we can shop before our meetings and take care of our pressing personal fabric needs!

As you can see from our blog and Facebook page, we have a variety of fun things going on (in addition to charity quilts): displays at either the spring or fall Arts Walk in Olympia, a table at the Thurston  County Fair, challenges, the occasional BOM or mystery quilt, a yearly retreat, and a fun class every year.

Our amazing members include one lady who is addicted to hexies, the purple-or-cats quilter, the professional quilter who always astounds and inspires us, the "why did I agree to make graduation quilts for all my nieces and nephews?" lady, the orange addict, and a certain president who is more enamored of shirtless hunky boys than is probably healthy.

Bring your sense of humor and check us out!
