Welcome to the Dallas Modern Quilt Guild!

Our mission is to promote the art of modern quilting in the Dallas area. We offer educational demonstrations/workshops, swap and challenge opportunities, and charitable community outreach.

Membership is open to quilters of all skill levels and we pride ourselves in creating a positive, welcoming atmosphere for new and experienced quilters alike.

We communicate with our members through Meetup.  Members view detailed events on our Guild calendar, participate in discussion forums, have access to our group photo albums, and more!  Members also receive first priority to attend events such as Saturday Sew, annual Retreat, and workshops.  You may ask to join our Meetup group before officially joining the Guild.  It's a great way to see what we are about.

Guild Meeting Locations:
MONTHLY MEETINGS Our monthly meetings are held the fourth Thursday of the month at 7pm at Walnut Hill United Methodist Church, 10066 Marsh Lane, Dallas, TX 75229. Each meeting focuses on a new topic with a different swap, presentation, demonstration, or challenge. In November and December, we will meet earlier in the month so as not to conflict with the holidays. You can find out program information and upcoming meeting dates on Meetup, our Facebook page and on our blog. SPECIAL SEW DAYS What could be more fun than quilting with friends? We have cutting and ironing stations as well as large work spaces ready for you on our Saturday Sew and Sunday Sew days! Just bring your project and machine! Or join other quilters to work on any handwork projects. Sew dates are all posted on Meetup. CHARITABLE PROJECTS INITIATIVE The Dallas Modern Quilt Guild is proud to support many local charities with the gift of member-made quilts. In addition to finished lap-size quilts and quilt tops, we also accept donations of batting, fabric, backings, and quilting services. BI-ANNUAL RETREAT Each May and November, our members enjoy a little piece of heaven when they attend our bi-annual retreats! They are the perfect time to build camaraderie, learn from each other, and strengthen our friendships! Quilting + friendship = too much fun!!!! Retreats are a perfect time to finish those UFOs [unfinished objects], special projects, and community service lap quilts. Spaces are limited and fill up quickly. DMQG members receive priority reservations.
