Now we are ready to upload photos to Quiltcon 2016.  1800 pixels on the longest side (I can adjust that on my photo) - 300 dpi (my camera is 230 dpi).  Online blogs indicate that 300 dpi is a printing specification and should not be needed for a contest.  So, if our camera takes photos at less than 300 dpi, we will need to buy a new camera or hire someone to photograph quilt.  Any ideas?  I would like to get this done this week.

You can email Molly to see if there's any wiggle room on the photo specs.

You can convert any photo to any dpi using photo editing software.  I use Irfanview which is free.  Download it here: http://www.irfanview.com/.  Instructions for how to use it to convert to 300 dpi are here: https://susanwiggs.wordpress.com/2007/09/06/we-need-a-300dpi-photo/

Most other photo editing software (like Photoshop) will do it as well.  This page has instructions for doing it with a couple of other different programs: http://www.rideau-info.com/photos/changedpi.html

Googling "convert photo to 300 dpi" brings of a wealth of additional information.

If I have already submitted a quilt for Quiltcon and now want to submit one for this challenge, am I going to have any wrinkles in the online submission regarding the entry fee?  (Just trying to anticipate, so there aren't any surprises up against the deadline.)  Thanks!

This sentence might be a problem: You must complete the forms, for up to three quilts, in one sessionHow many quilts did you submit the first time? You might want to ask Heather (email her soon, she'll get busy near the deadline).

So...the Quilt is finished. Photographed. Double checking the entry....realized that I made a serious error that disqualifies the piece: I used additional Michael Miller Prints in the top, instead of "only binding or backing".

Enter it anyway, knowing it is disqualified? ( Ok with this. Natural Logical Consequences.)

Enter it in another category?

Please advise. Thanks.

I registered for Quiltcon (no charge since MQG member), then I registered my quilt for MM Glitz challenge and uploaded photos with no problem.  However, they would not accept my $30 payment.  I tried two different credit cards, and I assure  you the cards (VISA) are good with minimal balances.  Is there someone I can call - phone number?  Or, do we not pay the $30 until after we learn if our quilt is accepted to show in Pasadena?  This forum to ask questions and get help is wonderful!!!

You folks are the best!!!  Got my registration done, quilt entered and photos uploaded, and paid my $30 correctly.  I am technically challenged, but your websites have been user friendly - just need to read and pay attention.  I want you to know how much you are all appreciated.

I get to attend the Pasadena show - coming from Oklahoma.  Can hardly wait!

I just finished entering my small Michael Miller Challenge quilt today.  What I want to know is, will I be notified when and where I am to send it?  Being that I have never entered a quilt in any show before, I am a bit worried I will miss something.

You'll be notified by email whether your quilt was accepted to QuiltCon and, if so, how and where to mail it.

Should we be posting our finished quilts to the community like in previous challenges or are we waiting to reveal the winners and top quilts until QuiltCon? I submitted my quilt and am eagerly waiting to view all of the other quilts that I'm sure are wonderful. I've enjoyed seeing all of the sneak peaks on Instagram and can't wait to see all of the finished quilts!

There is a photo gallery for the Glitz challenge but I don't think we'll get many photo posts here because it wasn't a requisite for the challenge.
