Pandemic Reflections was made by the Modern Fusion Group, a group of individual members of the Modern Quilt Guild from across the US, Canada and Asia. Our group has not met in person. We started meeting by Zoom in November 2020 and decided to make a quilt "together" as a way to process all of the emotions and inspirations coming from our individual experiences during the pandemic. We selected a color palette moving from darker to lighter to reflect our emotions from the start of the pandemic and moving towards hope of its end. Emotions working through a traumatic time can also be reflected in the process of recovering from a natural disaster. What better use of the award-winning quilt than to raise money for hurricane relief. All proceeds of the fundraiser will benefit World Central Kitchen who have been providing assistance to those impacted by hurricanes Helene and Milton. The quilt is 84" x 90". It is made from 100% cotton; is machine quilted and has appraised for $4500.
